Version: v1.0Last updated: September 5, 2026Applies to: “360 Photo Viewer” (360PV)
In one sentence: 360PV is a fully offline 360° panorama photo viewer — it makes no network connections and collects, transmits, or stores none of your photos or data. It contains no advertising, analytics, or tracking of any kind.
This policy explains how “360 Photo Viewer” (“360PV” or the “App”) handles information. The App is a viewer for 360° panorama photos (equirectangular and similar formats) that lets you browse, pan, and zoom around a panorama locally on your own device. It has been written with reference to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), China’s Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL), Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI), and other major frameworks, so that you can understand your rights no matter where you are. Because the App does not collect or process any personal data, most of the clauses below simply explain that there is nothing for us to collect.
1. Our core commitment: zero collection, zero networking
The App is designed “offline-first”: it has no networking capability and cannot send data to any server, actively or passively. In practice this means:
We do not collect, upload, sync, or cloud-back up any panorama photo you open or view;
We cannot view the content you browse, and there is no “remote diagnostics” mechanism;
The App contains no third-party SDKs, ads, analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry components.
Under the “data minimization” principle of the GDPR (Article 5) and similar rules elsewhere, processing should be limited to what is necessary. The App’s function — viewing 360° panoramas locally — works without any personal data at all, so we collect nothing. If a future version ever needs network access or data collection, we will update this policy first and, where the law requires, obtain your separate consent.
2. What we explicitly do not collect
The App collects none of the following:
No accounts, no registration — we do not collect names, nicknames, email addresses, or other identifiers;
No photos, no files — we never collect or upload any panorama or image you view; all rendering and browsing happen on your own device;
No photo metadata — some panoramas carry EXIF data such as camera model, capture time, or even GPS location. At most, the App reads this locally on your device to display it (for example in a photo-info panel). It is never uploaded, aggregated, or used for any other purpose;
No device information such as hardware model, OS version, system configuration, or GPU details;
No usage data such as habits, browsing history, which photos you opened, or viewing time;
No IP addresses or network identifiers, and no network requests of any kind;
No advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash reporting, hot updates, or remote code;
We do not read your contacts, location, clipboard, or your entire photo library (a file reaches the App only when you actively select it in the system file picker);
No cross-site or cross-device tracking, no profiling, no personalized advertising;
No cookies or similar tracking technologies (the App is a local program; there is no web tracking at all).
Note: if you download the App through an app store (e.g., the Apple App Store), the store operator handles download and account information under its own privacy policy. That is outside our control — please refer to the store platform’s policy.
3. Where your photos and metadata are processed
All rendering and viewing take place entirely on your device:
The App reads an image file you have chosen, decodes it in device memory, and projects and renders it on your display hardware (GPU) to show the panorama on screen;
Every interaction — panning, zooming, changing the view, going full screen — happens locally and generates no network request;
Unless you deliberately use a local “export / save as” feature, the App does not modify or copy your original photos;
Any thumbnails, caches, or temporary files the App creates live only in your device’s local storage or cache directory and can be cleared by you at any time or removed by uninstalling the App;
Source photos and any exports always remain on your device or your chosen local storage — they never traverse a network.
4. If you contact us by email
We do not collect your email address. Only if you voluntarily contact us at webtoart+privacy@gmail.com will we receive your address and the content of your message, which we use solely to reply to you.
Purpose and legal basis: responding to your inquiry — based on your consent in initiating contact and our legitimate interest in handling inquiries;
Retention: emails are deleted within a reasonable period after your matter is resolved; if you ask us to delete them sooner, we will;
Third-party service: email is received and stored by the third-party provider of our mailbox (Google, i.e. Gmail), whose own privacy policy applies;
Please note: do not include sensitive personal data (government IDs, health or financial information), and please do not attach private panoramas, in emails to us.
5. About this policy page
This page is a static web page: no cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party scripts, and no external fonts, images, or APIs are loaded;
Your language preference (top-right switch) is stored only in your browser’s localStorage — local storage, never transmitted or shared across sites;
The server provider hosting this page may generate standard access logs (typically including IP address, browser type, and time of access) to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to identify you, build profiles, track you across sites, or for any marketing purpose.
6. Your rights (EU / California / China / Japan / elsewhere)
Because we do not collect or hold any personal data, the rights below are, in your case, “satisfied without needing to be exercised.” We list them honestly so you can map them against the laws that apply to you:
EU / UK (GDPR / UK GDPR, Articles 13–22): rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We also perform no automated decision-making or profiling;
California (CCPA/CPRA): the right to know, delete, and correct personal information, and the right to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — we do not sell, share, or collect sensitive personal information, and we do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising;
China (PIPL): rights to access, copy, correct, supplement, and delete personal information, to withdraw consent, and to request an explanation of processing rules;
Japan (APPI): rights to request notification of purposes of use, disclosure, correction, suspension of use, and cessation of provision to third parties — we hold no personal data and provide nothing to any third party.
If you wish to raise anything above, contact us anytime at webtoart+privacy@gmail.com; we will respond within the period required by law. If the law of your jurisdiction (e.g., Brazil’s LGPD, Korea’s PIPA) grants additional rights, they are likewise satisfied because we process no personal data at all.
7. Children’s privacy
The App is not directed at children and we do not collect information from users of any age (including children under 13 or under 16). If we ever unintentionally receive a child’s information, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Data security and retention
No cloud storage: we operate no servers, and there are no photos or data of yours to store or lose;
Local security: the safety of your device and photos depends on your operating system and storage environment — we recommend enabling OS-level encryption and a screen lock;
Retention: we retain nothing. Caches and thumbnails created by the App are local files you can clear in your system settings or remove by uninstalling the App;
Security incidents: because there is no centralized store of personal data, a conventional “data breach” does not apply to this App;
Photos you share: panoramic photos often embed GPS coordinates. If you later share an image yourself, please remove location metadata first if you do not want it disclosed — this is outside the App’s control.
9. International transfers
The App transfers no personal data across borders — because it collects and transmits nothing at all. The one exception is an inquiry email you send us voluntarily: that email is handled by the third-party provider of our mailbox (Google) and may be stored outside your country. That provider’s own policy applies; please avoid including sensitive personal data in emails.
10. Changes to this policy
If the App’s features or data practices change, we will update this page and revise the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes (such as any future collection of personal data), we will make reasonable efforts to notify you prominently. Before material changes take effect, please rely on the newest version; by continuing to use the App you acknowledge the updated policy (where applicable law requires separate consent, we will obtain it in accordance with the law).
Questions, comments, or complaints about privacy or your data rights are welcome at any time; we usually reply within a reasonable period. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in your jurisdiction (e.g., your national data protection authority, the California Privacy Protection Agency, Japan’s PPC, or the Cyberspace Administration of China).
